2020 ended.
And 2 weeks have already passed since 2020 Ep.2 started.

Both Japan and America seem still struggling in dealing with COVID-19.

As looking back 2020 (Episode 1), here are 7 differences of how people reacted to COVID19 between in America and Japan.

1.Reaction to Mask

US: Had protests against wearing masks

JP : Lined up so long to buy masks

2. Conspiracy

US: Believed in the Illuminati conspiracy

JP: Praised “AKIRA” (an anime movie in 1989) predicting the cancel of TOKYO 2020

3. Public Transportation

US: Racism on the train and people arrested for not wearing a mask on a bus

JP: No speaking on the train, mandatory masks…. Hmm.
What’s wrong?
That’s NORMAL!

4. Moms

US: Mom calls their kids in distance and says “Stay home, ok?”

JP: Mom calls their kids in distance and says “ Be homestay.”

5. Leaders’ Health

US: President infected COVID and clinging to the position

JP: Prime minister infected Ulcerative colitis and quickly left.

6. Leaders’ reactions to mask

US: President never wore a mask

JP: Giving Abenomask which was too small for himself.

7. The Influencers

US: People followed Fauci

JP: People believed in AMABIE
